What you'll achieve
Your address on your domain appears in the Mail app, next to your other accounts. We use IMAP: messages stay on the server, so you see them the same way on your phone, your laptop and in Webmail. If you don't have the address yet, find out on the Email on your domain page how many addresses your plan includes.
Before you start
- The address must already exist and you need to know its password (see How to create an email account in Enhance).
- The steps are for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. On iOS 17 and earlier versions, Mail appears directly in Settings, not under Apps; the rest is the same.
- Keep the settings at hand. In the example, the domain is
firmata.ro:
| Server | Port | Security | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Incoming mail server (IMAP) | mail.firmata.ro | 993 | SSL |
| Outgoing mail server (SMTP) | mail.firmata.ro | 465 | SSL |
- Username: the full address, for example
office@firmata.ro. - Password: the email address's password, not your Enhance password.
- Server:
mail.firmata.roworks if the domain points to our server (for example, with the nameserversns1/ns2.nbt-host.ro). Otherwise, or if you're not sure, useserver.nbt-host.com. - You can see the same settings in Enhance, under “Emails” » “Manage” next to the address » “Email client settings”.
The steps
- Open Settings and tap Apps.
- Tap Mail, then Mail Accounts.
- Tap Add Account.
- Enter your email address and tap Continue.
- Tap Add Other Account, then Mail Account.
- Fill in Name (the name recipients see — yours or your company's), Email, Password and Description (for example “Work”), then tap Next.
- The iPhone doesn't find our server settings on its own, so it asks you to enter them. At the top, choose IMAP.
- Under Incoming Mail Server, fill in the server name (
mail.firmata.roorserver.nbt-host.com), the username (the full address) and the password. - Under Outgoing Mail Server, fill in the same server, the same address as username and the same password. Don't leave the username and password empty here, even if they're shown as optional: without them you can't send.
- Tap Next and wait a few seconds while the details are verified.
- Tap Save.
The account appears in Mail. If you have many messages, the first sync may take a few minutes.
The iPhone usually picks the secure connection on its own. If you want to check, open the account from Mail Accounts and look at the advanced settings: incoming should be SSL on port 993, and the outgoing server (SMTP) SSL on port 465.
If something doesn't work
- The password isn't accepted. Use the email address's password, not your Enhance password, and the full address as the username. Try the same details in Webmail (see Webmail: how to read your email in the browser): if they don't work there either, the password is wrong and you need to set a new one in Enhance.
- A warning says the server's identity can't be verified. The server name has no certificate — usually because you entered
mail.firmata.robut the domain doesn't point to our server, or you entered the server's IP. Don't accept the certificate: change the server toserver.nbt-host.com, for both incoming and outgoing. - You receive messages but can't send. Check the outgoing server: the same server, SSL, port 465, username = the full address, password filled in. If the network you're on blocks port 465, try 587 (STARTTLS).
- Messages sent from the iPhone don't appear in Webmail, under Sent. In the account's advanced settings, choose the server's Sent folder as the folder for sent messages (in Webmail it appears as Sent).
- You can't find the messages marked as spam. On the server, they go to the Spam folder. In Mail you'll find it in your account's folder list (see also Spam filters and the Spam folder).
