Every payment comes with two different documents: the tax invoice, issued by NBT X SOLUTIONS SRL through SmartBill, and the Stripe receipt, proof that the card payment went through. The invoice arrives by email; you'll find receipts and your payment history in the payment portal, from your NBT Account.
What you'll achieve
- find the tax invoice for any payment;
- download receipts and see your payment history;
- know how to get an invoice in your company's name and what to do if an invoice is missing or has wrong details.
Before you start
- The invoice is issued using the details from your order: individual or company, with Tax ID (CUI), address and county. You fill them in when you order, or save them in advance in your NBT Account (see NBT Account: how to log in and what you'll find).
- You need access to the email address you used for the order: invoices and the sign-in link for your NBT Account are sent there.
The steps
The tax invoice, by email
- After every payment, both the first one and each renewal, you receive the tax invoice by email, issued through SmartBill using the details from your order.
- Look for it in the mailbox of the address you ordered with. If you can't find it, also check Spam or Promotions.
- Save it or forward it to your accountant.
Receipts and payment history, in the Stripe portal
- Log in to your NBT Account at nbt-host.com/cont (see NBT Account: how to log in and what you'll find).
- Open the Invoices tab.
- Click “Card, invoices and cancellation”. The Stripe payment portal opens in the same tab.
- In the portal you can see your subscriptions, the saved card and the list of payments, with the date and amount of each. From there you can also open and download the receipt for any payment.
- To get back to your NBT Account, use the return link in the portal.
If you've ordered more than once, Stripe may have a separate customer record for each order. In that case, on the Invoices tab, each group of services has its own “Card and invoices” button, which opens the portal with that group's payments.
A Stripe receipt does not replace the tax invoice. For your accounting, use the invoice you received by email.
Invoices in your company's name
- When you order, choose “Company or sole trader (PFA)” and fill in the company name, the Tax ID (CUI) and, if you have one, the Trade Register No. The page checks the CUI's check digit.
- In Bucharest, choose the sector as the city: it is required on the invoice.
- If you've created an NBT Account, save your company details under “Billing details”, with “Save details”. Your next orders will be filled in with them automatically.
Details saved in your account are used for new orders. For an invoice that has already been issued, write to us (see below).
If something doesn't work
- I didn't receive the invoice. Check Spam and Promotions in the mailbox of the address you ordered with. If it isn't there either, write to us with the domain and the payment date, and we'll send it again.
- The invoice has wrong details (name, address, Tax ID). Write to us as soon as possible, with the correct details and the invoice number.
- The payment doesn't show up in the portal. You may have paid with a different email address or a different card, so the payment is on another customer record. Look for the “Card and invoices” button of the other group of services, or write to us.
- I paid some other way than by card on the website. Those payments don't appear in your NBT Account. Write to us and we'll send you the documents.
- The NBT Account says “You have nothing to pay in your NBT Account.” Free accounts have no subscription, so there is no invoice and no card to change.
